I am a young woman in her twenties in that heady time in the years following university graduation. I am told the world is my oyster, and therefore I have taken the opportunity to explore, perhaps with the hope of finding a few pearls of wisdom along the way. This is where I will share my travel experiences that I have been lucky enough to enjoy.
Ke Garne was the first phrase I learnt during my visit to Nepal in March 2017. Throughout my trip I realised that this common utterance of “what to do”, given with a shrug of the shoulders, in response to difficult or impossible situations revealed a lot about their culture (which I go further into in my Trekking in Nepal entry ). While I sometimes disagreed with the fatalist attitude, the phrase “what to do” provided me with much thought and entertainment.
